There are big changes to the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Tournament, happening January 31st - February 4th. The PGA Tour released a revamped schedule for 2024 that includes replacing the Phoenix Open with the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am as a signature event with a $20 million prize. In exchange, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is cutting its field nearly in half and eliminating one of the three golf courses. This year Pebble Beach will host 80 players and 80 amateurs competing for 36 holes at Pebble Beach and Spyglass Hill, with only the pros advancing to the weekend at Pebble Beach.
With this new designation, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be a completely reimagined tournament and an unbeatable fan experience. If you ask former attendees, they might say it’s the most fun tournament on the pro docket. The tournament features 70 to 80 players and is unique for having no cut after the second round. Initially founded by Bing Crosby, the tournament supports several charities through the Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
Though the Pro-Am typically features celebrity golfers, there will be no celebrity events this year, with only a select number of notable amateurs playing on Thursday and Friday. Players will compete at Spyglass Hill Golf Course on Thursday and Friday and at Pebble Beach Golf Links on all four days. This year’s field is bolstered by world #1 Scottie Scheffler, major champion Rory McIlroy, and FedEx Cup champion Viktor Hovland.
As the anticipation builds for the 2024 edition of this iconic event, golf enthusiasts and spectators alike are gearing up for a thrilling showcase of skill, strategy, and camaraderie. Here’s what you can expect from this year’s edition of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
